Rosalia
Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia (Spanish for "Rosalia") Rosalia Vila (Spanish for "Rosalia") is an Spanish pop and flamenco singer. Since she was a teen she was involved in both the traditional and popular music. Her musical interests have expanded to include hip-hop and soul. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela has described her voice as sweet and sharp, but still featuring the sharpness of older singers. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success topping the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and finally getting the Grammy. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami was a collaboration with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake and others. The release came on March 20, 2022 after an appearance of the track Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia became the first Spanish singer to perform solo on the show. In addition to winning three other Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
